INCLUSION OF A YOUNG GIRL WITH FRAGILE X SYNDROME IN 2ND CYCLE REGULAR EDUCATION PORTUGUESE

We analyze the difficulties of including a student D, of 12 years, with fragile X syndrome, who frequents the 2nd cycle of basic education, in a School Group of Castelo Branco. The goals guided the implementation, in class, educational measures inclusive with strategies and methodologies imposed on Individual Educational Curriculum. We use qualitative methodology (case study), using documentary, naturalist and participant observation, questionnaire for teachers to special education, semi-structured interviews (pre and post) for the teacher of special education and the mother of student, also the triangulating the data with support of field notes. The results confirmed that the school for inclusion, having adequate resources. The support teacher of the student has demonstrated god practices, adequate information on the syndrome and your needs. Parents are committed to collaborative and involved, giving emphasis to the nearby school and participation in the teaching-learning process (contribution to its success).
