This work discusses the process of teacher training for work with children's literature for the training of readers in childhood education. To this end, we discuss the training of teachers in the light of ideas of Imbernón (2010) and Nóvoa (1997); and with regard to the concept of children's literature in anchored in Colomer (2003); Coelho (2000); Cavalcanti (2002); Amarilha (1997); and Zilberman (2003). The study was developed from a qualitative research, in which it operates the single case study, as proposed by Yin (2010) having as collection technique the semi-structured interview. Research has shown that we need more emphasis on training processes geared to children's literature in the wake of reflexivity. Besides, the "make-believe" in children's literature is an important element for the integral development of the child.
