FORMAÇÃO MUSICAL DO PROFESSOR GENERALISTA E POSSIBILIDADES DE TRABALHO SIGNIFICATIVO

This work is the partial result of studies that have been done in an independent way with the objective to contribute for the theoretical practical framework of a musical pedagogy different of that has been commonly adopted in regular teaching, especially in Basic School, in which the musical activities generally are in charge of non specialist teachers. We start from the critical analysis of official documents that deal with the education of the generalist teacher, with the intention to verifying the existence (or not) of indications concerning the musical education of this professional. It is understood that there is a necessity of this education, since the proper the National Curriculum References for Basic Education (RCNEI) include a proposal for music. It is verified, however, that this isn’t always the reality observed in graduation courses of Pedagogy. The analysis of the proposal for Music of the RCNEI continues, considering that, although sufficiently rich and detailed, it’s not a proposal that can easily be used by teachers that don’t have a specialized education in music, since it works, in its objectives, contents and in its didactic orientations, with concepts specific of the area. It is presented, based in the historical-cultural perspective of the knowledge - especially in the conception of language of Lev Vygotski and Mikhail Bakhtin – an alternative didactic proposal. The elaboration of this proposal is also based on Brazilian authors of Musical Education.
