The article aims to reconstruct, from the perspective of the elderly, their perceptions of the aging process in rural areas, as well as their daily lives and resistance in camps and rural settlements. The data were produced through eleven in-depth interviews focused on life stories. Participants were recruited using the non-probabilistic snowball sampling method until data saturation was achieved. The data reveal that the experiences confirm the importance of land throughout the lives of the landless elderly, from birth to old age, forming a project of realization based on socio-territorial reproduction in the settlements. The results indicate that aging under the peasant logic creates specific spatialities related to the use of time and space in camps and settlements, where work is fundamental to the perception of old age among the rural elderly.
