Entrepreneurial initiatives in reading and writing need to be reviewed in its theory and its practices. The social and economic analysis of situated literate environments, economic crises that make reduce the educational resources, the commodification of culture, cultural sustainability criteria and other factors suggest rethink the policies and methodologies to promote reading in different contexts, from education, leisure or cultural enterprises. In this context, the incorporation of the paradigm of entrepreneurship to the categories of the promotion of reading, and concepts such as customer loyalty, sponsoring or sustainability, opens up an important debate on the future prospects in this area.
