Considering that human practices are a process of meaning simultaneously epistemic and axiological, it is evident the relationship between ethics and education that crosses all times and school spaces. Currently has pointed values content as an important teaching content, which becomes clear when dealing with certain issues, such as environment, permeated with values. In this regard, the educational process has been raised as a possibility To overcome the established environmental crisis. From the interest on working with the values dimension of environmental issues and recognizing its complexity, we have developed a research that under a qualitative approach aimed to investigate the possibilities and limits of a science teacher seeking to develop a work focused on environmental issues and their values dimension. Data were collected from the teaching plan, semi-structured interviews and classroom observations. At first there was the incorporation of this dimension in the teaching plan proposed. However, during the development of teaching many opportunities to work explicitly whit the values proposed have been lost, while others implicitly values were present. We identify the need for teacher training proposals that subsidizes the teacher to deal with this issue, unusual in school practices.
