The present research approaches the continuing education of teachers who teach Mathematics in the final years of Middle School, and its purpose is to analyze the teachers’ understanding on Critical Mathematics Education when they developed mathematical activities by using the Technologies of Information and Communication. The adopted methodology is qualitative and the data were collected from the participants’ interactions in continuing education meetings, in which mathematical activities were developed by using spreadsheets and the GeoGebra software. According to the participant’s view, the Technologies of Information and Communication helped the Critical Mathematics Education as they created new teaching possibilities by enhancing investigations and the benefits of multiple representations.
