Abstract

The movement of the Sociology of Childhood has contributed significantly to the perception of children as social actors, establishing meaningful interactions with people and institutions while developing strategies for participation in the world; think of them as actors is also considering as competent informants in processes of scientific investigation. In Brazil there is an effort to produce theoretical studies of investment and development that contribute to the construction of a research methodology with children. Given this premise, this article aims to highlight the possibilities of research methodology that chooses the child as a protagonist; for both summarily rescued several investigations in Brazil have adopted the conception of the child able to establish relationships and highlight the possibilities of using instruments designed to support a coherent and specific methodology for research with children.
