SEXUAL DIVERSITY IN SCHOOL: LEGAL DOCUMENTS AND COMMUNITY SCHOOL – AN ANALYSIS

In this article the idea is to analyze what advocates some legal documents governing the Brazilian education about sexual diversity, especially homosexuality. It takes into account the views of the school community: students, families, teachers and other education professionals, as theme to see how this diversity has been addressed in the school environment. Assumptions from the National Curriculum Guidelines for Basic Education and the National Education Plan are analyzed with the opinion of the school community, through research conducted by the Institute of Economic Research Foundation, in order to investigate how this diversity appears in day to day life of schools Brazilian and the motto for the discussion of policies so far implemented in this area in the country's education. From the analysis, it was revealed that the school community, especially principals and teachers also deal with a problematic way with the theme, not helping the discussions necessary to promote a space that contemplates diversity.
