Abstract

The technologies and their use in mathematics classes have been the subject of many researches among those who work with Mathematics Education. However, if we think that technologies have been dictating the behavior of man and society since ancient times, their influence within the educational scenario may not be recent as well. In this context, this paper aims at showing the story of technology and its use in Mathematics Education. In order to do this, the text contains initially an understanding of technology and its importance in the evolution of the society in which we live. After that, guided by the ideas of intelligent technologies, it is presented some new technologies, as well as their importance and use in the teaching and learning process. Finally, it is presented an understanding of how technologies and education have shaped each other’s story.
