This paper presents and discusses the official document "Early childhood education: subsidies for construction of a systematic of assessment", produced by the Task Group (TG) Evaluation of Early Childhood Education, created by the Ministry of Education in December 2011. Composed by representation of federal agencies and civil organizations, the TG had as first task to propose guidelines and methodologies to assess early childhood education and evaluate schooling experiences, strategies and assessment tools to early childhood education. Within a context in which the debate about assessment of/in the early childhood education emerges with conflicting positions, it is suggested that the document plays an important role in demarcating the evaluation of the conditions of supply of daycare /preschools in a perspective democratic of evaluation democratic that respects and protects rights in contexts of inequality and diversity.
